Potential Problems

  • Auctions – Become a bidding war with other Buyers, thus raising the final Multiple paid for the business.
  • Internet – There is no prevalent background on either the intermediary or the seller. Thus, complicating the potential deal. No qualifying of the seller.
  • Intermediary – Can complicate the conversations with the Seller and usually provides an inaccurate valuation which raises Seller's Pricing Expectations. The intermediary is also known for creating a “Soft Auction process.”
  • In-House Associates – Cannot properly engage the business owner in conversations. Business owners are skeptical of financial acquirers, thus “hanging up” on associates.

We provide an established process for both Private Equity and Strategic acquirers. Our fee structure is unique and offers significant savings over your standard Intermediary firm.

Please contact us and we will be happy to provide you with more information on our process.

Business Owners

Our firm works with well-established Private Equity Groups and Strategic Acquirers assisting them with uncovering that perfect acquisition candidate. If you are interested in exploring your exit strategy for your business, please contact us. We work with many different types of acquirers and one of them may be the perfect fit for your successful business.

Because we work from the buy side of the transaction, there is no obligation or fee due from the seller. Please contact us if you have any questions about our clients.

Why would an owner consider selling their successful business? In addition to retirement, other reasons that one might consider selling their business include management succession issues, the desire to create greater personal liquidity from the business, an interest in having more personal time away from the company, or perhaps the need for additional working capital to support the continued growth of the business. A sale to our buyer can successfully address these needs.

There are a number of reasons why our clients are ideal acquirers:

  • Proven track record of success and strong financial resources, which enable an acquisition to proceed quickly and confidentially to a successful closing.
  • Investment professionals supported by a strong and capable performance group.
  • The firm’s role post-acquisition is to provide Active Board Members and Capital Reserves for add-on acquisitions and growth initiatives.

C3 Consulting is an investment banking firm that serves both middle-market companies and private equity groups in their acquisition needs.
